“I’m just putting the final touches to my debut album which will be available late 2011/early 2012. In the time i’ve spent writing the LP, my sound and style has evolved and matured, leaving my older unreleased material sounding dated to my ears and not representative of the work i’m doing in the present and the sound i want to push in the future. I still get a lot of requests as to if these older bits are ever gonna see the light of day however, so to appease those that’ve been waiting on these tunes (and free up my release schedule for the album), i’ve decided to put together this digital compilation of unreleased dubs, VIP mixes of some of my more popular tunes, and my earliest releases that were never made available digitally. For the time being this is only going to be available via the Channel 82 online store for those that know, so grab it while it’s hot.”
Tracklist: 01 – Still In Love (Released as 12″ vinyl on Progress in 2007) 02 – Lazy Blue (Written in 2009, Unreleased) 03 – A Broken Soul (experimenting at a slower tempo, 2010) 04 – Old Dusty (Written in 2009, Unreleased) 05 – Tricks VIP (A more rolling version of my 2008 release on Shogun LTD) 06 – Marley VIP (Cranked up remix of my 2010 release on Spearhead. This version got more play then the original!) 07 – Realize (Only released as a very rare 12″ testpress in 2007. Just a few people have these and i’m not one of them, so give me a shout if you do!) 08 – A Blue Moon (Another slower thing written in 2009 while i was playing around with new sounds for my forthcoming album) 09 – Naughtier (Edit of Naughty, originally released on Critical in 2008. This version prompted a phone call from Goldie, apologising for not taking it for Metalheadz the first time round) 10 – X Rated (A firm favourite with Fabio and especially dBridge who featured it as a staple part of his set for a number of years. Was intended as the A-side to the never quite released ‘Realize’) 11 – The Traveller (Written in 2009, Unreleased) 12 – Highgrade (A-Side to ‘Still in Love’ and was the tune that really kicked things off for me back in 2006)

Sam KDC’s ‘Walk The Path EP’ forthcoming on Channel 82, featuring guest artists Eveson & Mr Smith. Atmospheric heavyweight Dub vibes at 170 and 140. Will be available as a ltd edition, hand screen printed 3 track 12″ featuring ‘Walk The Path’ (feat Mr Smith), ‘Chalice’ (feat Eveson) and ‘Betrayed’. Also available as a 4 track digital ep with bonus track ‘Sparks’.
Previously only used as a channel for Eveson’s solo and collaborative productions and artwork, Channel 82 now opens up to push cutting edge talent from across the d&b spectrum with a firm nod to jungle and dubwise aesthetics.
On plate 1, Theory’s seminal ‘Pictures Shapes & Patterns’ takes centre stage with expertly chopped amens, thunderous subs and dream like atmospherics. The split B side, ‘Embrace’ sees Eveson rolling out the classic ‘funky drummer’ break over uplifting pads, ghost like vocal snatches and beastly 808s. Eveson then switches into ‘Future G’ mode (under new alias Eastwood Flex) with a stripped back, bass led 140 BPM rework.
Plate 2 leads into moodier territory with Edward Oberon’s unique and unmistakable groove on voodoo stepper, ‘Museo Dub’, while rising stars ‘Need For Mirrors’ come with bass weight and stripped back skeletal drums on the totally avant garde ‘Pantone’, which is without doubt, one of their most unique tracks to date. New Channel 82 signing, Sam KDC finishes things off in style with a track specifically written for the EP on ‘West Town Dub’, a haunting 137 BPM rhythmical work out that sits somewhere in the grey area existing between techno, dubstep and original 70s dub reggae.
Digital will be dropping towards mid May and will be available exclusively from the Channel 82 web store before general digital release alongside ltd edition handmade screen prints of the cover art..
